A man is in critical condition today after a fight that happened early Sunday.
St. Martinville Police were called at about 2:30 a.m. to Berard Street for a disturbance. The caller, identified as Juan Galicia, said he had beaten someone up in a fight. When officers arrived, they found Randy Ledet laying in the road, bleeding from the head.
Ledet, 53, was transported via ambulance to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Galicia, 63, allegedly admitted to police that he used a piece of concrete to beat Ledet during a fight.
Galicia has been arrested and booked into the St Martin Parish Jail with Attempted Second Degree Murder.
