If you’re out and about today, you can help local families in Acadiana’s women’s shelters by donating to Julian’s Diaper Drive.

Organizers are at Jefferson Street Put until 3 p.m. today, accepting cases of diapers for infants, children and adults.

The drive, in its third year, was created by a local family to create an opportunity for their children to encourage them to use their life, gifts and talents to serve others.

Over the past two years, the drive has collected more than 200 cases of diapers each year. This year, organizers are hoping to quadruple that number.

Bins have been in place since July 16 at several locations in Lafayette to collect the diapers, but if you missed the chance today is the end of the drive, with the collection at the Pub.
