Deputies seek identity of alleged compressor thief in Westlake

Calcasieu Parish deputies are searching for the identity of the person responsible for an alleged theft in Westlake. 

According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, the theft happened on June 13, 2018, at 8:30 p.m. off of Walcott Road in Westlake. The person in the incident was seen on video surveillance at a local business at the address allegedly removing an air compressor from the property. 

Officials say they believe the person gained access to the business by the fenced in backyard. A lock was allegedly cut to that fence, according to a release.
