Police in Broussard says that two juveniles who crashed a stolen vehicle into a home in Lafayette were arrested in connection with a vehicle burglary and auto-theft in Broussard.

The two juveniles were arrested and booked into the Lafayette Detention Center for vehicle burglary and vehicle theft.

On Thursday, July 5, 2018, Broussard Police officers responded to a neighborhood where residents reported a vehicle burglary and an auto-theft.  Investigators say they learned that the early morning crash involving a stolen vehicle in Lafayette that struck a residence involved two suspects from the crimes in Broussard.

The two juveniles, both from Lafayette, allegedly confessed to the vehicle burglary as well as the auto-theft in Broussard.

Police clarify, however,  that the stolen vehicle they were in at the time of the crash is not the one that was stolen from Broussard. Police do say that the two juveniles allegedly confessed to taking that one as well.

Other suspects being looked into and more arrests are expected, according to a release.
