The Morgan City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in an armed robbery investigation at Ganaway’s Grocery on Federal Avenue.
Officers say the robbery happened on June 27, 2018, at around 9:23 p.m. at Ganaway’s Grocery on Federal Avenue. Upon arrival, officers say they learned that the victim was approached by a male subject wearing dark clothing armed with a novelty wooden baseball bat wrapped in electrical tape. The subject then allegedly struck the victim, taking money from the victim had and fled the area.
Police say the subject is described as a black male; approximately 5’05” to 5’08” tall, thin build, wearing a Charcoal Grey Hoodie, Black Pants, and Black Non-Skid Work Shoes. The suspect was seen riding a black Men’s Mt. Bike with a Silver and Red sticker around the neck area of the bike.
