The Louisiana Stars, a local drum and bugle corp, has been practicing near UL this week.
Most of the students participating are in Lafayette middle schools and high schools, or are freshmen at UL.

"Louisiana Stars teaches you how to be a really good worker and have the will power to do anything you believe in," says Thomas White, head drum major. "I get on the field with the corps and every single set and every single rep we do, there’s always such hype and intensity, and it really teaches me to be intense in every other aspect of life."
