Tonight, the City of Jennings will hold a special council meeting to discuss utility rate increases.
The council is considering a proposal that would raise water and sewer bills of residents by three percent.
The council will also discuss the city’s plans to begin a three-phase project that will replace all current water meters with new electric meters.
That project is expected to take place sometime later this year.
The council meeting will be held at the Jennings City Council Chambers at 154 N. Main Street. The meeting begins at 5:30 pm.
