Posted

The Downtown Development Authority announced today that Downtown Lafayette CEO Geoff Dyer will resign effective August 10.

Dyer is the current CEO of Downtown Development Authority and Downtown Lafayette Unlimited.

Dyer began work with DDA as the Director of Design in 2013 before being named Interim CEO in December 2016. According to a press release, Dyer will return to Calgary, Canada with his family to work for a planning and design firm to lead the company’s Urban Design team.

DDA says that they will continue on with the implementation of several projects already in process, including streetscape maintenance and improvement, the launch of an ambassador program, and customer relations management system. Dyer plans to continue his work on these projects and several others before his departure in August.

The Downtown Development Authority will begin searching immediately for Dyer’s successor. Resumes should be sent to resume@downtownlafayette.org.
