Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a dead body found on the side of Interstate 10.
The initial investigation does indicate foul play, a spokeswoman said.
Deputies were called to I-10 westbound near mile marker 20 at about 3 a.m. Tuesday morning.
They found the body of John Michael Deville, 68, Lake Charles, near his truck, a maroon Dodge Ram.
Deputies are asking if anyone saw Deville on the side of the interstate this morning, knows someone or saw someone with Deville, or provided a ride to a person hitchhiking or walking near I-10 or Highway 90 this morning. If anyone has any information, please contact Lt. Beth McGee at 491-3605 immediately.
In a nearby case, a dark green Jeep was stolen from a residence in the vicinity of the incident this morning. It is believed to be stolen by a white male wearing a fluorescent orange or yellow shirt. This may or may not be related; however, if someone has any information regarding this Jeep or this white male, please contact Lt. Beth McGee at 491-3605 immediately.
CPSO Detective Casey Lafargue is the lead investigator on this case.
