We Are Opelousas hosted its second annual benefit basketball tournament.
The tournament, which was held at Opelousas High, raises money to support disadvantaged kids by sponsoring their participation in summer programs.
The group was founded by three Opelousas Police officers.
"We just want to show a different side of the city," said Nelson Simmons, Tournament Organizer. "We’re not just violence. We’re here to support our youth."
