The Rayne Police Department says they have arrested a man after an investigation into shots fired into a home on Saturday.
Officers say that 20-year-old Deante Carrier was arrested on Monday after an investigation into the shooting incident. The shooting occurred in the 500 block of North Arenas in Rayne and, according to police, the suspect allegedly fired several rounds into a residence before fleeing the scene.
Carrier was developed as a suspect after an investigation by the department.
Carrier was arrested and booked into the Rayne City Jail on six counts of attempted second-degree murder. His bond is set at $75,000. Carrier was transported to the Acadia Parish Jail for processing.
An investigation is ongoing.
