A Breaux Bridge road is now dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
City and state leaders unveiled a sign at the intersection of Berard and West Bridge streets for the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Drive.
Leaders say it’s a small but meaningful way to recognize an American icon.
"To have Dr. King’s name honored, the community is very proud; they should be proud. And, it’s just a celebration of his life and legacy," said Representative Terry Landry.
