Lafayette sheriff’s deputies are trying to find out who shot someone overnight south of Cankton.
A sheriff’s department spokesperson tells KATC that deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Swedish Dr. at about 11 p.m. One victim was transported to a local hospital. Their condition is not known. Deputies say the shooting involved a vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier in the day from the Lafayette area.
At this time, deputies don’t have a suspect. They are asking anyone who may have more information to call Lafayette crime stoppers at 232-TIPS.
