Vegetopia will kick off its series of Backyard Vegan Dinners starting June 16 in Lafayette; the event is aimed at raising money for Lafayette’s first Vegan Festival.

The first event of the series, titled “A Vegetopian Dinner,” will feature a five-course vegan meal prepared with fresh seasonal and local ingredients.

While enjoying a meal, attendees will also enjoy live music by Sydney Horn and Joseph Perillo, as well as a film screening by Elizabeth McNabb.

A Vegetopian Dinner is the first of five events that will take place this summer in order to raise funds for the planned festival.

Currently, the first event is sold out, but tickets for the upcoming Vegetopian Brunch are available for purchase here. This event will also include a five-
course vegan meal and live music by Esther Tyree and Nicole Needham.

Vegans, non-vegans or anyone curious about plant-based meals or looking for healthy eating options are invited to attend the event series. Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for children.
