The Town of Church Point announced that Entergy will be conducting a planned electrical outage for the city on Thursday, June 7 beginning at 7:00 am.
The scheduled outage will last until 1:30 pm.
Mayor Russell Stelly says that Entergy has informed him that the outage is necessary for crews to safely incorporate reliability improvements for their customers. All those who will be affected by the planned outage have been notified with automated calls from Entergy.
The following is a list of areas in Church Point that will be affected by the outage.

W. Handy Street
W. MLK
N. Wilson
Vallery Lane
W. Amy Street
W. Point Drive
Centennial Village
Meche Street
Joseph Street
Jean Baptiste Lane
N. Hicks Aly
In the event of bad weather, the outage will be canceled and rescheduled for a later date.
