Strong winds caused some damage near the intersection of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Cameron Street.
Several power lines are down and a building has been damaged.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s deputies are responding to the area, but no injuries have been reported, a spokesman said.
Deputies ask motorists to please avoid the area if possible.
