The City of Carencro says that crews will begin flushing hydrants beginning June 11.
The hydrants will be drained in sections until the entire system is flushed and the city says that process may take several days.
The city says that residents may begin to notice instances of brown water when initially turning on faucets after hydrants have been drained. Water should be allowed to run for a few minutes for the water to clear.
