The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating two separate shootings in the city of New Iberia
The first happened earlier Saturday evening in the 1000 block of Eden Street. One person was injured in that shooting and has been taken to a hospital.
Deputies say they are now currently investigating a second shooting which occurred within the 7:00 p.m. hour. That shooting happened near Park Avenue and Lewis Streets. One person was also injured in that shooting and has been transported to a hospital for treatment.
Deputies say those injuries were non-life-threatening.
No suspects have been developed in both cases. They remain under investigation.
