The family of Latricia Savoy, who was killed in May after a crash in St. Martinville is still recovering from the incident.

Lakisha Davis, the stepmother of Latricia’s children says that two of her children are still fighting to recover. Davis says that two children received injuries, ranging from moderate to severe, in the crash.

Her step-daughter who is just nine years old has undergone surgery for a skull fracture and is now recovering. Davis says she may suffer brain damage but that is still unknown. She also sustained a hip and pelvis fracture.

"I am so thankful that the children are alive," Davis said over the phone with KATC. "Any help is appreciated."

The family has set up a GoFundMe pageto pay for expenses. " We are in desperate need of help to buy beds, clothing and other items for the children and for medical bills," the page reads.

Latricia’s brother, Marvin Savoy, also started a GoFundMe page to pay for funeral expenses.
