Some LAWCO customers in Iberia Parish were experiencing low water pressure Wednesday evening.
Officials at Louisiana Water Company say that low pressure was caused by a broken water main. That main is now under repair, as crews diverted water flow around that break.
Pressure dropped during the incident but should now be coming back to residents that were affected. Officials say they are now running at full capacity. Storage wells were utilized to keep the water moving to residents.
No boil water advisory will be needed as water levels remained above the minimum required, according to LAWCO.
It is unclear what caused the break in the line.
