Deputies identify suspects arrested in last night’s shooting in New Iberia

The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Department has released the names of the two individuals arrested in connection with Monday night’s shooting in New Iberia. 

The Department says Curleyreus Abraham and Phillip Olivier have been arrested in connection with the shooting. The incident occurred on Fulton Street and North Street last night at around 7 pm. Three people sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting. 

Abraham was arrested and booked on charges of 2 counts of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, and possession of a firearm. Oliver was arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. (A mugshot for Olivier was not immediately available)

Both suspects are currently in the Iberia Parish Jail. No bond has been set.
