Lafayette Police today released a photo of a vehicle suspected to be involved in an alleged hit-and-run this past weekend during festival.

"The investigation continues, however, the vehicle has been located and the identity of the driver is known at this time," a release states. "The driver will be cited for traffic violations relate to the incident."

The release states the driver fled the area when officers on foot attempted to make contact, then struck another vehicle after leaving the downtown area and fled the scene of that crash.

There were no pedestrians injured in the incident as previously thought, the release states.

Tuesday, Lafayette Police said that despite the cameras in the area, no images or videos were captured of the incident. KATC’s JoshMeny was able to obtain video of the incident with the help of a local business surveillance system. Read more here.
