Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a man who allegedly punched and kicked one family member, then stabbed another family member who tried to intervene.

The incident happened at 10 p.m. Sunday on  River Bend Lane in Sulphur.

A woman there told deputies that William K. Foy, 23, of Sulphur had shown up drunk. She said he started to argue with her, and tried to take her phone away because he thought she was calling the police. She wouldn’t give him her phone, so he slapped and punched her, knocked her down and then kicked her. Another family member heard her screams, and came into the house. At that time Foy allegedly armed himself with a knife and fork, and swung at the man, cutting him in the face, deputies say.

Foy then allegedly stabbed the man in the back with the fork, and tried to stab him again with the knife, deputies say, and allegedly hit the man several times. The woman called 911, but Foy fled the scene.

Foy is wanted on a warrant for aggravated battery and simple battery.

Detectives are currently searching for Foy and ask if anyone has any information regarding his whereabouts, please call the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office at (337) 491-3605.

CPSO Detective Roland Jones is the lead investigator on this case.
