Atmos Energy customers may be experiencing some issue with gas after a line was damaged Wednesday in Lafayette.
Officials with Atmos tell KATC that one of the lines near Kaliste Saloom and North Meyers area was damaged by third-party contractor work. Crews are on scene tonight but the line, which is about 14 feet underground cannot be accessed until Thursday morning for repair.
The damage has been isolated and any leaks were stopped Wednesday afternoon. Officials say there is no cause for concern and no roadways will be closed.
