The students and faculty of Park Vista Elementary in Opelousas are raising awareness about autism this month.
School officials and students made a human ribbon and held a sign of support because each child has different gifts and is unique.
"Understand that every human being has his own strengths and weaknesses, his own differences," said Elbert Guillory, grandparent. "And if we understand that and accept every human being for his or her differences and strengths, we’ll all be fine."
