The Broussard Police Department is alerting drivers in the city of the upcoming Zydeco Cycle that will pass through the city beginning at 10:30 am.

The Department says that 600 cycles will enter the city through the service road and travel from W. Second Street at N. Morgan and through the city to Heart D. Farm Rd.

Cyclers will then take N. Larriviere Rd. and head towards Youngsville.

Police are telling drivers to expect some delays during that time as the group makes its way through the city.

The cycles will travel throughout Acadiana beginning today, Thursday, April 5 heading from Vermilionville along the service road before heading into Broussard and Youngsville. The route will split with some heading towards New Iberia and others riding towards Abbeville and then onto Delcambre.

The ride will end its first day at City Park in New Iberia.
