Iberia detectives seeking armed robbery suspect

Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office are looking for a local man accused of robbing two dollar stores.

Warrants on four counts of Armed Robbery have been issued for Mark Anthony Wesley Jr. 

Wesley, 23, is accused of robbing the Family Dollar Store on March 28 and the Dollar General Store on March 29. 

In the first incident, two customers and a cashier at the Family Dollar on West Admiral Doyle were robbed at gunpoint.

In the second incident, the cashier of the Dollar General on West Admiral Doyle was robbed. 

Wesley is described as being 5’7”, weighing 130 pounds.  He is believed to be hiding in the New Iberia area.  He should be considered armed and dangerous.
