Local young lawyers from the Leadership LSBA Class delivered packages of healthy snacks to healthcare professionals working at the Cajundome COVID-19 testing site on Friday morning.

"The medical staff there have been working tirelessly over the past few weeks, so we knew a generous expression of appreciation would show them how much lawyers and others in the community support them and their livesaving work," explained class member Jeremy A. Bazile.

The various snacks included energy bars, organic fruit packs, trail mix, and smoothie pouches. Class members aimed to provide healthcare professionals with healthier options during long shifts at the site.

Testing has been taking place at the Cajundome since March 18.

The Leadership LSBA Class program was created in 2002 by the Louisiana State Bar Association to provide exposure to young lawyers on pressing issues that face the legal profession. Class members from the Lafayette area include Jeremy A. Bazile, Glenn Armentor Law Corporation, and Jared E. Nelson, Liskow & Lewis, APLC.
