YOUNGSVILLE — Youngsville held its Red, White and Boom celebration ahead of the Fourth of July, drawing families to the area for food, live music, dancing and fireworks.
"We're going to hear some music and watch some wonderful fireworks and dance. We dance. We are dancers. This is cajun zydeco," said Roger and Sheila Chautin.
For others, the event was about more than entertainment.
"Just comradeship and enjoying a good time and being thankful for what we have in this country," said Frank Landry.
