LAFAYETTE PARISH — Festival International kicks off with fanfare drawing thousands to downtown Lafayette.
Already thousands of visitors have flocked the streets of downtown Lafayette to experience the southern culture, music, and cuisine.
Nine bands will take the stage tonight including La Perla from Colombia, and Louisiana’s own Soul Express Brass Band and Zach Edwards & The Medicine.
The official opening show starts at 6pm.
