KATC's Tools for Schools team is making a drop-off in Lafayette with a tool that will help every student have a voice.

This Monday, the team is at Live Oak Elementary where students received Qballs.

The tool, according to students will help them share ideas more often.

"I think the Qballs is good because we can all share our ideas and how we feel about other people. I feel stunned and I feel like oh how we get this, it's a blessing," student Alcide Malveaux said.

5th Grade Teacher Valerie Guidry requested the Qballs after friends and coworkers recommended them.

"I requested the Qballs today to help my student have fun while sharing. Several friends and coworkers recommended it and when I did my research I found that it was the number one tool for students to have fun while sharing. It feels wonderful to receive supplies from KATC and to be acknowledged by local businesses that help and support our classrooms," Guidry said.

Students say they are eager to start sharing.

"I received a Qball I think that it's great because now people can share more often.," student Gabrielle Alfred said.
