St. Martinville Primary is helping KATC with the forecast on Friday morning.
And while the temperatures may be cold outside, students were sure to give Acaidana a warm welcome.
The students are preparing for their much anticipated Mardi Gras break, but as Principal Lisa Sylvester explains, they have their eyes on success for upcoming Leap Testing.
The school is a part of the Leader in Me Program which prepares the students to be leaders in the classroom
"The students want to learn, they're excited," says Sylvester. "Most students, if you come to this school, it's very quiet in the hallways. They are in the class talking, doing and learning. They want to be here."
As a STEM School, Sylvester says that students must learn how to think critically, breaking apart the fundamentals they are taught and applying them to other processes.
One way that students are putting their STEM curriculum to the test is by building robots.
