This morning, our Kendria Lafleur sat down with Farrah Reyna to talk about a 24- hour nonprofit fundraiser coming this May.
South Louisiana Giving Day is a 24-hour online fundraiser for more than 100 nonprofit organizations, churches, and schools who serve Acadiana. Many of these organizations offer free services to the community like food banks; housing for the homelessness; mental health services; etc. We never know when we may need these services for ourselves or our family, so it’s always good to make a donation so they can continue to help those in need.
How can one donation? It’s simple. On May 9, for 24 hours, the public can visit https://www.southlouisianagivingday.org/ and make a tax-deductible donation to any organization of their choice. It takes less than 3 minutes to make a contribution. Every dollar helps!
Donors are encouraged to donate online during the 24-hour event on May 9 from midnight until 11:59:59 p.m. The event will be managed from the office of Community Foundation of Acadiana in Lafayette, Louisiana.
You can also schedule a donation from March 11 – May 8 to support your favorite organization during South Louisiana Giving Day! This is a convenient feature for donors who are busy and may forget to donate on South LA Giving Day on Thursday, May 9.
