The Student Art Expo is happening at the ACA on April 13th from 10 am to 8pm.
The Student Arts Expo is an annual event to celebrate and display the art created by LPSS students throughout the school year.
It is an event that illustrates the importance of integrating arts into education, a long-term mission of Acadiana Center for the Arts. Expo draws a crowd of approximately 3,000-4,000 people.
The expo showcases student work that has come to fruition through the many classes and programs offered in Lafayette Parish public schools.
The Student Arts Expo is held throughout downtown Lafayette, ACA and LPSS pairing schools with businesses to host visual arts exhibits and performances that last throughout the day, extending into April Art Walk.
This event gives the public a chance to view about 100 visual arts exhibits and many performances that include dance, music, theater, and poetry slams.
