A GMA preview of this weekend’s Scott Boudin Festival

This Friday, the Boudin Festival kicks off in Scott.

KATC’s Abby Breidenbach was LIVE this morning in Scott with a preview.

Gates open at 5:00 pm on Friday, April 5, followed by an opening ceremony at 5:30 pm. Festival attendees can get their fill of delicious boudin provided by nine vendors including Don’s Specialty Meats, The Best Stop, and Billy’s Boudin.

Music will begin and 6:00 pm and continue until 12:00 am.

The festival will continue on Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 am until 12:30 am and Sunday, April 7 from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Festival admission is $5 for Friday and Saturday and free on Sunday.

Getting to the festival is even simpler this year. Two trolleys will pick up guests at several locations in the city.

Pickups will take place at the following locations:

  • Scott Park
  • Behind Don’s on Harold Gauthe Road
  • Corner of West Park and Frontage by the Holiday Inn
  • The Begnaud House on Benoit Patin Road.

The trolleys will be free to use and will drop off at Lion’s Club Road and St. Mary.

No outside food or drink, animals, or ice chests will be allowed on the festival grounds.
