The City of Youngsville is repairing four bridges over the next month, and those repairs could effect commutes for many Lafayette Parish residents.

Abby Breidenbach was LIVE this morning with more information on the construction and what motorists can expect.

Construction starts today, Monday, April 1, with the bridge on East Milton Avenue near the Route 92 Bar and the roadway’s intersection with Verot School Road in Youngsville.

That bridge will be down to one lane. Drivers are asked to find an alternate route. An approximate location of the bridge can be found at the map below.

This bridge will be the first of four bridges the City of Youngsville will begin repairing over the next month.

Starting next Monday, April 8, the bridge on Iberia Street at Bayou Parc Perdue will undergo repairs.
That bridge is located just west of Fountain View Drive and will be down to one lane traffic next week.

On the week of April 14th, the bridge on East Milton near Oak Knoll Subdivision will close.
The bridge is just east of the roundabout at East Milton and Verot School Road. Officials say work on that bridge is expected to last three days.

Once work is complete there, the bridge on Savoy Road at Bayou Parc Perdue near the Youngsville Sports Complex will close for repairs.

Over the next month of repairs, the City of Youngsville asks drivers to plan on alternate routes to minimize delays.
