This weekend, Ush One See will host their Strike for Sight event on Saturday, August 18 at Rock n’ Bowl de Lafayette.

The event will be held from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Rock N’ Bowl in Downtown Lafayette and include bowling, entertainment, food, and drinks.
All proceeds from the event will go to support research for a cure for the vision loss that comes with Usher Syndrome. Ush One See is raising awareness for the disease which causes deafness and blindness in those who have the syndrome. Type 1C, according to the organization, is most prevalent in French Acadians and most common in Acadiana than anywhere else in the world.
Tickets for the event are $75 per person and can be purchased through theStrike for Sight Eventbrite page. Tickets will cover food, drink, and bowling for the full two hours of the event. Entertainment will be provided by The Mixed Nuts. Tickets can be purchased at the door of the event.
