Scott Brazda is LIVE at St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette with details on the 7 on 7 football tournament happening today and Thursday.
The Quick Slants tournament will host 32 schools from around Acadiana in a two-day pool play event. Day 1 begins today, Wednesday, July 11 and feature 1A, 2A, and 3A teams.
Day 2, on Thursday, July 12 will be more of the same with 4A and 5A teams competing.
The tournament gives coaches and teams an idea of how they are performing and work on their skills before heading into August and the start of high school football.
All proceeds from the two-day event will go to the Lourdes Cancer Foundation. Pool play begins at 4:00 pm at STM’s Cougar Stadium.
