Unity in the Community event to be held April 22 in Lafayette

The UL Lafayette Collegiate Outreach Mission Program will bring police officers and other first responders together with the community on April 22nd as a part of their Unity in the Community Event.

The event begins at 1:30 pm and will focus on building stronger relationships between the men and women in law enforcement and those living in the communities they serve. Families are invited to attend the event which will include games, food, and fun for everyone. The event will be held at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center on 309 Cora Street in Lafayette.

The event is free to attend.

The Collegiate Outreach Mission Program is a youth mentorship program at UL Lafayette that focuses on supporting at-risk youth. The goal of the organization is to cultivate lifetime bonds between students and mentors and work as a guiding force for student growth.
