NEW IBERIA — The person who died in a Sunday shooting in New Iberia has been identified.
The Iberia Parish Coroner's Office says the victim was Creamman Holt, 22, of Jeanerette.
The suspect wanted in connection with the shooting has been arrested.
Dominic Lamar George, 33, was arrested Monday on first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder charges.
Police say George shot two people near the intersection of South Corine and Lombard Streets early Sunday morning. One of the victims died at the scene. The was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
George is also facing home invasion and theft charges that are unrelated to the shooting charges.
