SCOTT, La. - A crash caused delays along I-10 near Scott Saturday morning.

A cleanup effort was underway after a truck flipped into the median Saturday morning.

Scott Fire Department was dispatched to a major vehicle crash with entrapment at the 96-mile marker on Interstate 10 Saturday at 8:40 a.m., according to Fire Chief Chad Sonnier.

Upon arrival firefighters found a truck, pulling a trailer, upside down in the median with one person trapped inside.

Firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicle and began to extricate the victim utilizing specialized hydraulic rescue equipment.

The victim was extricated and transported to a local hospital to be checked for injuries. None of the four occupants in the vehicle appeared to suffer life threatening injuries.

Louisiana State Police is investigating the cause of the crash.

DOTD says congestion near Scott because of the crash has now cleared.
