After 57 days of being closed, Zoosiana is officially back open.

"It was super fun," said visitor Cheyenne Courville.

Courville came to Zoosiana with her dad. It's the first thing they've done outside of quarantine.

"We looked at all the animals, fed them, got treats."

According to zoo manager Matt Oldenburg, people are not the only ones who were looking forward to this day.

"Our animals are just as happy to see our guest, as our gust are to see the animals. They missed everybody. Animals are very social. And they like the attention, the stimulation from people. They missed everybody, they are happy to have visitors back in the zoo."

Around the zoo, workers are masked and gloved and plastic sneeze guards separate guests and workers.

To keep guests six feet apart, each group is given a pool noodle.

"We've taken a lot of steps to keep everyone safe," Oldenburg explained.

For now, some attractions inside the zoo will remain closed, but there are still plenty of sights to see.
