Festival International is preparing to host virtual concerts this up-coming weekend. Even though Festival won't be downtown, that isn't stopping nearby restaurants and bars from serving festival favorites. Pamplona Tapas Bar & Restaurant is one of many businesses who want to help you get the festival experience even if you're stuck at home .
"Food evokes memories," General Manager Andrew Payne said. "I think it's an all cohesive part of making everyone have a good time and enjoy themselves. It brings back memories of festival in the past."
Pamplona will be serving up some of their signature food and drinks normally served during festival. They will be selling Sangria by the pitcher, Paella and Limited Edition Pamplona Festival 2020 Shirts.
Payne says business has been rough since the pandemic began. They were forced to close their doors.
"It's been pretty rough," Payne said. "It's not an easy thing to tell your employee's you cant employ them. The worst part is the amount of unforeseen. The not knowing when we will be able to reopen and what capacity will we reopen at."
However, their loyal customers reached out hoping they would serve up some festival staples and that's exactly what Pamplona plans on doing. They're re-opening their doors festival weekend with curb side pick up. They're also selling festival themed t-shirts.
"I want to thank the community for sticking together and the support they've given to everyone so far. It's been nice and i hope it continues."
They're encouraging you to pre-order. You can call the restaurant to place an order or click here. You can pick up your order Friday & Saturday from noon to 6 and Sunday from 11-3p.m.
