A new work week is here and with it temperatures that will slowly be on the rise for the next couple of days, a certain sign of the changing times as spring slowly turns to summer.

Winds from the south will continue to pump moisture into the area, Monday morning this has resulted in a layer of fog moving in for portions of Acadiana.

While not everyone has had the fog develop where it has developed though it's been laying in pretty thick and a Dense Fog Advisory will be in effect for central Acadiana until 9 a.m.

The fog won't last much beyond sunrise and when it clears we'll be left with mostly sunny skies through the afternoon and into the evening.

Winds coming from the south will provide more moisture again Monday and will push temperatures into the mid and upper 80s by the afternoon, lows will be staying in the upper 60s.

Acadiana's next chance for showers will arrive on Tuesday night with scattered showers possible along a front that is going to swing through the area by early Wednesday morning.

This will freshen us up a little for the middle of the week and reintroduce some drier air.
