Tropical Storm Josephine forms in the Atlantic

As of 10:00 a.m., Tropical Storm Josephine has formed in the Atlantic.

Currently there are not coastal watches or warning for the storm, according to theNational Hurricane Center.

The center of Tropical Storm Josephine was located near latitude 13.7 North, longitude 49.2 West. Josephine is moving toward the west-northwest near 15 mph (24 km/h), and is expected to continue for the next few days followed by a turn toward the northwest late this weekend or early next week.

There is no threat to Louisiana.
