Storm damage is being reported in St. Mary Parish from Hurricane Barry.
There are downed trees, trees on homes, power lines on the ground and also sagging power lines.
"There is some flooding near Cypremore Point, which was expected, but now that the rain has started, I expect flooding in other areas," said David Spencer, spokesperson for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office
Residents are asked to stay inside and off the roads.
