YOUNGSVILLE, LA — A man reached out to us on Facebook to let us know his home was flooded, sending him and his family to the second floor.
The home is on Heritage Dr. in Youngsville, and the homeowner said this isn't the first time his home has flooded. In fact, it's not even the second time it has flooded.
He told us his home had flooded three time in the past four years. The first time was in 2016, again a year later, and then again during Barry.
He added that he can't let us into his home because he doesn't want to open the door to let more water in.
Behind the home is a large canal that is swollen due to the tropical storm.
He and his family are safe; they are just waiting for the water to go down.
