Louisiana State Police are urging drivers not to travel unless absolutely necessary.
Earlier today, Troopers investigated a rollover crash on I-10 near Highland Rd. In East Baton Rouge Parish. Police say the driver, 24-year-old Miguel Garcia-Aguilar was suspected to be impaired.
According to police, he was also in possession of approximately 40 grams of cocaine. Troopers placed him under arrest for DWI, Possession of Cocaine, Reckless Operation, and Suspended License.
This is the second impairment crash that Troop A Troopers have worked today.
Troopers emphasize that residents should never drive during severe weather, but if you must, never do so while impaired.
