The past several days there has been a lot of tropical moisture situated over Acadiana leading to the rounds of scattered showers and storms.

As these storms develop there is a chance a brief funnel cloud could form on the base of the clouds.

Jason Theriot took this photo of a tropical funnel cloud that formed on Monday between Gueydan and Crowley.

These tropical funnel clouds usually don't last long and rarely touch the ground or cause any damage.

There is a very small chance that a funnel cloud could spin up along the coast as today's showers/storms slide through Acadiana on Tuesday.
