Acadiana will see another balmy early fall day Thursday, before really feeling and looking like fall Friday.
Temperatures overnight through Thursday morning will hold mostly in the mid-60s thanks to a return of light southerly winds.
And with those light southerly winds accompanied by temperatures and dew points nearing one another, there could be some patchy fog by morning in spots.
Thursday will bring another mostly sunny and warm pattern to Acadiana with highs pushing well into the mid-80s.
There could be a brief pop-up shower in the area by late in the day, but rain chances should be in the 10% range or less.
A strong cool front is expected to sweep through the area Thursday night and well before daybreak Friday with a few showers accompanying and following the front.
Friday will be a rather blustery day by Acadiana's standards, with lingering clouds, the possibility of a few light showers or sprinkles, and temperatures holding in the mid-upper 60s.
Those clouds will clear out Friday night with temperatures expected to drop into the upper 40s to lower 50s with a little bit of a wind chill factor too!
The weekend looks great but it will be warming up quickly with highs in the mid-upper 70s Saturday and back into the lower 80s Sunday under mostly sunny skies.
The forecast next week looks relatively quiet with seasonable temperatures, a few showers possible by mid-week, and then again into next weekend with our next front.

Models continue to indicate some Caribbean or Southwest Atlantic development will be possible in the next 7-14 days, but there should be no storms threatening our part of the world and the Northern Gulf of Mexico.
